Wealth Strategy Session

Hi All. I am planning on doing my first deal by late spring early Summer. I want to do a wealth strategy session with Tom Wheelwright company Pro-Vision. This will help me better understand the tax and asset protection implications of investing out of state. The cost is about $4000. I still have to build my team and setup my entity, I want to have everything in place before executing my first deal. I just want to get some feedback. Am I being overly caution or trying to get too many things in place first? Is the $4000 a standard for the kind of knowledge I'm seeking?

@George Sleweon

I would caution you about spending $4,000 for a Wealth Strategy Session.  A good accountant and financial advisor could probably give you all the knowledge you need for a fraction of the cost.

I don't begrudge anyone trying to earn a dollar, in fact, I encourage it, but you might be wise to direct your resources in another direction.

Get a second opinion and seek counsel from the professionals I recommended first.  Most accountants would be happy to give you a few minutes of their time once tax season is over.  Make a list of your goals and some steps you plan to take to reach those goals and share those with said accountant.  They should be able to help you.

Good luck on your journey and I hope this is helpful.

Ed
