Newbie in need of advice from Pro's
Hello Everyone,
in need of ideas for a newbie in Florida especially in Oviedo, FL. When I say newbie here I mean newbie in all aspects. I've always loved Real Estate as my father was a General Contractor, owned a hardware store and sold his own houses. My brother is currently a drafter, so I have been around many projects and real estate since I was small. I moved to Oviedo FL 3 months ago from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
Last year my wife and I took a course in PR with The Flipping Formula guys and that blew our minds off.. we both think we would enjoy this.
We were not able to pay additional education with them and tried making this work, but I found my self confused a lot and they had some really cool tool to help find good leads, but that think work for PR and after spending all my savings which wasn't much I decided to hold for a bit until I had better guidance and some savings.
last summer I came to Orlando and took the Real Estate Associate class and passed it and got that ready. Now Im studying to take the state test, now that I actually moved to FL.
Last week I went to a Rich Dad class and I loved it but didnt pay for education because I had already done so and no success yet.
Anyways, I own a proterty in Puerto Rico, which I am trying to get prepared for rent.
At the beggining I am only renting one part of the house as the layout helps close one section. Then I want to rent to other part as a studio. From here to 2 years I may be able to complete an extension I started when i lived the house and my target it to get 3 rents from it. with what I rent the 1st part should pay the morgage the rest should be good to get the other 2 parts rolling within time.
So, I know there are lots of good advices for newbies out there... but anybody with good ideas and advises that you think I would enjoy or need to know, I will be very grateful in receiving these comments.. thank you and have a Blessed day!
