Partnering with a seasoned investor

Hey everybody, I have a client who is interested in investing in a flip deal but has zero previous experience. What he does have is a good deal of savings set aside waiting for the right investment opportunity. Do seasoned flippers ever partner with people like my friend who has no experience? I  have little experience in this area and don't want to steer my client in the wrong direction. Wanted to get some feedback and maybe suggestions of websites or articles I could read to better inform my client. Thanks for reading!
