In what order of the process should I go about buying a rental property? I know the big picture for the most part, but not really the detailed process. I'm on my way to buying my first property and still confused on it all.

Your real estate agent and lawyer as well as lender will keep you on track for everything in order. That's their job, to get you to the closing table.

First come up with a strategy or type of investment you'd like to make.

Then get financing preapproval.

Look at properties and make an offer.

Once accepted get inspection

Bank will order appraisal.

Lawyers will check title, survey, etc.

Close.

There may be some other details along the way but best advice I can give is to rely on advice of professionals. They will guide you along the way so you don't get lost.
