I need help with the first steps / starting out investor

Hello BP family! I'm looking to start my real estate investor journey this month. I've been doing my research since this summer. What I need help with is the first step. Through my research I've read that they ways you can get started with little or no money. I guess my question is to you BP family is have any of you used these avenues before and how did it work out? Also I would like to have a mentor if anyone would like to take me on. Btw the my market is the metro Atlanta area.
