hidden payments behind auctions?

Hello BP!
im looking at online auctions and i would like to know how it all works...

say there is a bid for 10K on a foreclosed property that the bank is auctioning. but the previous owner that it was foreclosed on owed the bank 50K. if you bid and win the bidding war. do you just pay the 10K on that property plus the few extra payments of the process... or are you going to be paying the rest of what was owed on that property.
i guess im asking: what are the hidden payments? and where can i find them if there is any?
