Young Investor Looking to Network in the OKC Area

Hello BiggerPocket Investors,

I'm looking for advice to network with others as a young investor. Ideally, I would like to form genuine relationships with others and maybe even find a mentor. I have been studying and listening to podcasts so I have an understanding of real estate as a whole but lacking in the hands-on experience aspect. I want to be able to conversate with other investors but I'm worried that although I'm motivated and serious about real estate, my young appearance and lack of experience could make others fail to take me seriously.

I plan to start with a 30-second summary intro to introduce myself: and during the conversation I could chip in my 2 cents whenever there's a topic I'm familiar with.

For mentors I'm open to offer my assistance in anyway I possibly can to be able to learn a thing or two because I would feel uneasy to leech off of someone.

I would love to hear your story if you've been in a situation similar to this.

Best Regards,

Brian Tran
