Investing in Brooklyn

Good evening everyone!

I'm interested in building wealth through the buy and hold strategy and would like to start investing in small multi families in Brooklyn, New York. I'm also going to need a place to live within the next 6 months to a year, so I would be looking to invest in a property that I'd be living in as well; live in a unit, and rent the others. I've done quite a bit of research and know the basics of starting out, though it would be extremely helpful to have and a lot easier with the help of a mentor. If anyone would like to help me out, that would be amazing and I would highly appreciate it!

Thank you!
