What should I keep in mind while purchasing a duplex that has renters under HUD. I just placed an offer on a duplex built in the early 2000s that is in fairly good shape. What should I be looking for if I come to owning this property?

With section 8 you need to be aware that it will involve a more hands on management style. Lower class tenants often lack many common social standards and need close scrutiny. Regular inspections are mandatory (quarterly at a minimum) to insure the property is kept clean, no additional tenants have moved in and pets are properly managed.
