Another LLC question... Please don't run.

Reading through some of the discussions, I'm seeing a lot of mixed views on wether or not an LLC is necessary for wholesaling. As I enter the final stages of preparation, my initial plan was to just create an LLC right out of the gate anyway. Simply because I want every step of the process done through the company name from the very beginning. So, with the understanding that it may or may not be entirely necessary for me to do so, my question is are there any reasons why I would NOT want the LLC?

@Levi Thornton We are working a case in Vegas at this time where an LLC lied to investors in order to get their money, and we went after everyone who was involved and went after the owner of the LLC personal asset, and my contact in Vegas will meet with the judge on Monday to get a court order to freeze their assets.

Exactly, you just proved my point. The individual  made a fraudulent claim, so yes the corporate veil is being pierced. As I said before if you stay above board and don't do shady business transactions the corporate veil is very good to have.

On top of all this one is arguing not to have a LLC for what amounts to a cost of $50 per year for added protection vs putting it all on the line.
