Live In Fixer Upper

Hi everyone,

I am new to the real estate field. I am moving from Washington to Nothern California for my husband's new job opportunity. Houses down there are really expensive, however, it makes more sense to buy than rent. I was thinking about doing a live in fixer upper. My husband and I worked on a fixer upper back in 2012 and sold that condo in 2015 and made $60,000 in profit. I think we got really lucky with the condo that we found awhile back. I am new to Nothern California. Does anyone have any tips on finding a live in fixer upper? Let me know your thoughts. Much appreciated !

@Nhi Dihn,  Hello,

I am a little confused?  Why not purchase a property for sale by owner?  Who gave you that advice?  What reason(s) did they site?

You came to a great place for good advice! :-)
