Hotel Investing

Hello, My name is Davison Champion and I am currently a senior at a 4 year university about to graduate with a degree in finance. Recently I have become more and more interested in investing in the Hospitality/Leisure industry. My plan right now is to find a job as a revenue analyst for a hospitality firm so I can learn the in's and out's of how the cash flows are typically generated in a hotel and how to maximize profitability. Am I doing this wrong or is the route I am taking a good one to start my early career?
