I am looking into trying to buy a duplex. What is the best option for my family. I own the house my wife and I live in, she is not on the mortgage, purchased before we got married. We both are self employed for 2 + years now and have great credit. 1)Would it be best for her to buy the property in her name? 2)Start a LLC For out property business and buy under that? 3) try to come up with a cash buy first? I am looking for some starting pointers. Our goal is to have a few multi-family and duplexes under our belt.
