Cash buyer follow up questions
The other day at the gym, I was talking to a guy that I've talked to before. During our conversation he mentioned how the other gym was pestering him on the phone to sign up while he was busy at the court house with a fore closer.
Right away I thought 'DING DING' cash buyer!
So I asked if he's still interested in REO's, ect and he said yes.
I told him that I come across great deals all the time, and I could contact him when I have one he might be interested in. He was fairly excited. I asked him what he was looking for, 3/2's? What price range? He said it doesn't matter and he pays cash.
Getting to my question, he seems like a good prospective cash buyer and I want to follow up with him.
Which questions should I ask him when I call? I want to be sure to come off as knowledgeable and confident when I follow up and not have to call him back for a question I forgot or being a stumbling mess while I rack my brain while talking to him!
Any input in regards to my first follow up with this guy is appreciated!
Thanks,
Terry

Other then letting him to 90% of the talking you need more info on what he is looking for.
His comment of "He said it doesn't matter and he pays cash." is not true or he is blowing you off.
The price range does matter - the property profile does matter - meaning - he isn't going to buy a 2/1 in the middle of a hood that has 4/2's - that home would be very hard to move one day...
So he does have criteria - that is what you need to be finding out - if he doesn't' tell you then figure out another way to get that info - like ask him about what he has bought in the past and reverse engineer it.
I buy in all sorts of areas / all sorts of price ranges / all sorts of homes but there is some basic criteria for each area.......
