Hello there everyone, I am a veteran exiting the Army soon and I desire to become a Real estate investor. I am absolutely started from the bottom as I have no experience at all. I am seeking a local mentor to learn from and hopefully partner with, while I do not have experience I do have a very high degree of motivation, desire and work ethic. I live in Killeen Texas and hope to work the entire Interstate 35 from Dallas to San Antonio. GOD bless everyone in this community.

Darren - You can stop by my office and we can chat.  I won't even pretend to know other markets outside of Killeen but I know this market incredibly well.  I'm a bona-fide expert.  I own 8 properties here (7 income properties) and you can't grow to that size without standout expertise.  I'm 100% occupied too so I'm well-versed in tenant behaviors, tastes and market demand down to the subdivision level.  If you are looking to learn about real estate outside of Killeen, I'd suggest finding a comparable expert with a verifiable real estate portfolio.  Please don't take advice from anyone that doesn't own property (and a lot of it) in the market you intend to master.  You can find yourself in some trouble because every market has its own set of pitfalls.
