getting discouraged

 I'm just starting out in real estate and I want to start by doing wholesales with distressed property but I'm starting to get discouraged because I don't know where to start or what route I should begin with......is there anybody in the phila,pa  area that is willing to help me

being honest, i don't know a lot about wholesales other than 90% of people doing wholesales say how hard it is, and it is not recommended for new investors, not saying it can not be done but the uphill is a bit extreme from what i read on the forums, but try not to be discouraged completely by your struggles, educate and expand your community base in your area and see how you can make it work, or also consider a different path if it turns out to be to rough to start out,  such as buy an hold,  flip,  brrr strat,   ect.   definitely search through BP with all your questions, surly someone has asked before and may have the answer you seek.  best of luck.
