Looking for Local CPA Advice with LLC vs SCorp Decision
I am located in Massachusetts and will be doing business to start in FL. I may start out here in Taxachusetts but am not sure. I have not dug in too deeply in the search function but have read a bit. I would like to start out in the Buy and Hold market. The more I read the more I get confused. Of course I want the greatest tax advantage but I also want to be separate from my business. I always feel that an LLC always has a back door that can be circumvented and I be held liable for one reason or another.
I will not be making my 1st investment for another 6 months which gives me time to organize. If you're a local CPA I would like to hear from you. If you've done this and are knowledgeable about it I would like to hear from you too. I need to absorb as much as I can. This 1st property will be purchased with monies from my HELOC.
