LLC the go-to for REI in Ohio?

Hey everyone, I genuinely hope you all had a good *** weekend. I am new to REI although I have done quite a bit of research. I just want to confirm (from someone with experience) that an LLC is the bastion of business entities for REI. My goal is to flip a few houses over the next year or so for seed capital to inject into investment properties. So is the LLC viable for the flips and the IP's? And if so, how many IP's should be kept in a single LLC? Thanks for the help!! Greatly appreciated
