Starting As An Investor In Miami Market

Hello All! I have been highly interested in Real Estate Investing! I currently live in Miami, FL and have been to many REO meetings near my area. I guess I am rather stuck. I pursued a FL Real Estate License but I am interested in becoming an investor. I do have a small bit of capital to start but not sure if I should begin with a hard money lender and flip my first property or dispense my license and become a Realtor and save enough to fund my own deals? Some advice will be nice and highly appreciated! Also another note I am also interested in Commercial Real Estate if anyone has expertise in this area I would also like some feedback as well.
