Mentor Questions

I am relatively new to the housing industry and a virgin to R.E.I. I have noticed many people have had mentors to guide them from the beginning as they slowly do more and more on their own. I am interested in many of the niches of R.E.I. including but not limited to: wholesaling, rehabbing, and renting. I have a variety of questions regarding mentors so lets start with the ones on the front line.

1.) Where can I find the best ones?

2.) What would they want in return?

3.) Do I need a mentor for each niche?

4.) Do I have to be so far along in this R.E.I. business for any mentor to assist me?

Reason's for wanting a mentor:

When I found this website, I felt like (and still do) I hit gold. However, I am highly overwhelmed with all the knowledge on here. In every single sentence I read there is a new term I want to research and learn thoroughly. This keeps getting all the information I'm soaking up very confused.

Also, I learn best by "doing" and am unfamiliar with the process of wholesaling and/or rehabbing properties. I also feel like I could make a lot more progress in a much shorter amount of time if I simply had someone to talk to in person about it. I am willing to do work for the mentor. I am especially interested in assistance with rehabbing properties. I have no experience however am eager to learn on the job.

Any and all insight is highly appreciated. You have my thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Connor S. Francis
