Where to go?

Hello I'm needing a little help, there is a pretty small empty lot (house isn't there anymore only the old concrete steps left buried under overgrown vegetation) next door to the small home my husband and I remodeled from the dirt up.  It is amazing all but the super nonexistent yard.  The lot next door is going up for auction as soon as 2 weeks from now or within the next couple auctions.  The starting bid is $3,500 being as that's the back taxes, the lot is supposed to be worth $15,000.  It is worth more than that to me to have the chance for a yard so my kids can play, have room to plant a garden & possibly have a small pool.  My credit is in the process of climbing out of a grave but I have the ability to pay a loan but no way to get one from a bank.  What are some options or places I can go that do this type of transaction regarding property?  I'm unsure as to what realtors can do & what their range is regarding this sort of thing.  I either need a loan or even better someone who could go to the auction-bid & win it for me-then I repay the amount that was spent plus fees ect, so I may have the yard I so desperately want?  Is this something realtors can do? The lot isn't big enough to build more than a tiny house on & would have less of a yard than me (which isn't saying much).  So my prayers would be that it isn't desirable to anyone else.  Where do I go to find someone to purchase it for me or loan me enough I can bid & have a chance at winning?  Remember my credit isn't good but I can repay the loan. I'm clueless at where to turn but fighting the urge to give up bc I want the lot so badly.

Thank you for any input,

Kristina
