Hi Bigger Pockets community!

Real estate investing has been something that has been something that I've been interested in learning about, but scared of the whole ordeal and just fantasized about investing some day.  Now I really want to make a big change, stop living in mediocrity and pursue what I really want out of life.

I've been reading no money down bigger pockets book, and watching the course videos.  I've been burned in the past by paying thousands of dollars to gurus to help me learn this stuff and I'm not blaming my failures on those gurus because I simply didn't apply myself back then, but it was a ton of wasted money.  So I figured if I was really serious about investing I should find the information myself, with the help of this community :)

So what I've gathered was, to start off I just need to learn the basics and just a good number of strategies to be familiar with.  Analyze houses/properties regularly and try to use the general rules to see if I can spot a good deal.

Any suggestions on what other actionable tips I can do to get me started and get my first property in the coming 3-6 months?
