I have never bought a house. My first property will be a rental property that we don't live in. If we can put a down payment and get a loan for the rental, how would that affect our ability to buy our own personal residence a few months later? We don't want to live in the multifamily, but just want to know what that may do to our ability to get a new loan for the personal residence. Good credit/no debt.
