Looking for CT investors who could lend some advice.

I am brand new to investing, I've been doing lots of research and was just wondering if anyone could lend some advice for someone just starting out.  I'm located in the Middlesex county and was hoping to get info on any good agents, GCs, or small banks that are known for financing investors.
