I need research help!

I am just beginning in real estate. I went to my first auction recently and was very confused because the properties that were auctioned were not the properties that the county had listed on the "Trustee Sale" on their website. Can anyone explain this to me? How do I find out what properties will actually be auctioned by the county? Any help is greatly appreciated!
