Vetting an investment partner
hi all,
I'm pretty new to REI and have a potentially great opportunity to partner with an investor. The problem is he wants to move very quickly and I haven't been able to vet them yet. We haven't even met in person.
The other downside is they want a 65-35 split on all profits on the property.
The property seems a steal, the potential partner has done all the leg work finding tje property and they have their own general contracting company and this would be my first ever deal.
My questions:
1) how do I proceed quickly but cautiously with this? Final date for offers is in a week.
2) is a 65-35 split a bad deal on my part?
Thanks!
