Hard Money for renovations!

Good Afternoon!

I am new to BIGGER POCKETS and so far the information I've been getting has been AMAZING! I am very appreciative to my good friend for introducing me to this awe. I need some advice on the best way to obtain rehab money for a property that I recently acquired ( it belonged to a family member who died many many years ago). There is no mortgage and I have owned the property for 6 months now. I would like to rehab the property and rent it out (its located in on a college campus). My question is what type of loan should I be seeking and Is Hard money a good option for me if I have no plans on selling??

Alisha~
