Real estate education
So, I'm brand new to REI and real estate in general. I feel like I'm pretty familiar with all the basics of REI (property types, strategy types, etc.), and I know that bigger pockets is a great resource for more information on all that. However, what about REAL ESTATE as a whole? Where can I learn more about that? I come across articles and posts with all this real estate lingo and, being as new as I am to all this, I don't understand half of what those people are saying sometimes. And I want to be smart and educate myself before I jump into any deals. Can anyone recommend some good resources for learning all that stuff (e.g. What the contract process is, what escrow is, what exactly a foreclosure is and how it affects all involved, and don't even get me started on the financial lingo. 😀 )?

Greetings from another Washingtonian,
I am fairly new to REI as well. However, I did take MLO classes and read a bunch of real estate books which helped me understand the thought process of these skilled investors more.
My advice for you would be to try YouTube as a source of free education. Simply type in the word you are trying to understand and they will break it down in such a simply way you won't forget it later!
