Wedgewood Inc Runner position

So I really want to immerse myself full time in the real estate world and I am working a full time job in a hospital that I am not totally in love with but it pays pretty well. I have started taking real estate licencing courses at night as I am highly motivated to make a career change and I want to do everything I can to educate and prepare myself and I am very excited about real estate. I saw a post on Craigslist recently for a Runner/Assistant Property Manager for a company called Wedgewood in the Phoenix area and I have yet to hear back but I am wondering if it would be a good idea to have a W2 job working in a real estate relevant job and if I will learn things that will get me to where I want to be as an investor with my own company. Just wondering what the BP community thinks about this and if anyone has heard of these big REI companies and if anyone else has gone this route to gain first hand knowledge. Thanks for any input.
