Advice on financing sfr/mfr in partnership

I am brand new to the BP community and am already seeing a lot of helpful info in the forums. One question I keep coming back to is related to securing financing for single-family or multi-family properties when working with a partner. A friend and I have been talking about investing in property and I'd like to hear from anyone who has done this through traditional fixed mortgages.

I've seen a lot of posts about buying through an LLC where one or both members guarantee the mortgage, and I'd really like to hear about people who have been through this.

Look forward to any info you can share!
