How to find the current Appreciation Rate

I know that generally the market tends to have a general appreciation rate but I was wondering how do you find the current appreciation rate of a specific neighborhood or city? I know that I can google for this information but usually its 6 months to a year old. I want the appreciation rate base on 6 months or less.

  • Is there some type of company that offer this information or service?
  • Is there a formula to figure this out? If yes, what are the steps?
  • Is this something a Realtor can do?

Thank you for the help
