When is a fixer property two old for rehabilitation?
I have searched for properties and its the really old ones from the 1950s and older that appear to be high risk. I was think that since I have lived in homes from the 1970s and up, there would not be any risk of asbestos. As long as the roof was maintained not letting in some major water leaks or damage, what else could come up that can be a major issue. Also, what is considered a "safe" size to work from? I know two bedrooms are harder to sell then three bedrooms. Want to focus on small houses so the turn over time is minimal. I have yet to figure out how I can qualify for a property since most hard money lenders lend up to 80% of the value of the property.
