Help in the Dallas / Fortworth area

I'm an 18 year old, college freshman, looking to dabble in real estate. I assumed the best way to get started was to start with wholesaling (since I'm on a ramen noodle budget). I've been doing research for quite sometime & I feel like I'm stuck in Analysis paralysis. I know the first step is to find a deal, but what comes next? Do I need someone else involved when trying to put a house under contract? How do I know what the ARV would be (are contractors expensive)? Maybe I could find some deals (bird dog) & in return you'd take me through the steps... Also I'm actively trying to network with ANYONE in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. In addition, I know that you need to mingle with Realtors, contractors, Cash Buyers, etc... So if you're anyone of those in my area please feel free to PM me or leave a comment... -Thanks in advance, Trey
