House Hacking my way out of homelessness

Maybe someone could provide me some assistance or insight here. I am a homeless vet with horrible credit and works full time as a cook. I have heard and seen on this forum sometime ago where someone used the prinicple of adverse possession to gain property for themselves and et themselves out of homelessness. Thats exactly what i want to do. I have scouted several properties that i feel may be suitable for me to live in. I have researched these properties and they all are delinquent on property taxes. What say you?
