Help.. I don't want to be personally responsible for the taxes

My wife and I recently started looking for properties to wholesale in Arizona. I planned to set up a new LLC to protect our personal assets and avoid the personal tax implications associated with the money earned in the transactions. We have a LLC the is current and in good standing with the secretary of state that we are not really using but the title is more related to a transportation service. My question is...

Can I file a dba with the trade commision and replace my existing LLC name with the dba to read... Terry's Transportation LLC dba TMG Property Solutions and recieve payment to the exisiting LLC bank account?

I realize that many of you are not attorneys so will not hold you liable for your advice in this public forum.

I hope to consult an attorney but I visit the seller tomorrow to get the agreement in place and I fear I won't have time to consult one before the visit.

Any advice would be helpful?

Thanks,

Terry
