Home Maintenance Insurance, worth it or not?
Hi everyone! I'am a first time homebuyer looking to get into real estate investing. My strategy is to buy an old various pieces of real estate which I would like to rent out for a cash flow's. I decided to purchase a duplex as my first property since I can live in one side and rent out the other. I found a nice property here locally that I like and was wondering if anybody has any experience with the home maintenance insurance. I recently contacted a company that gave me a quote of $600 per year plus $75 copayment per visit. Supposedly this is supposed to cover any type of repair on the items listed within the policy. It almost sounds too good to be true, but then again I'm new to this. If anyone has some feedback about this type of insurance I would love to hear from you.
