Advice about RE Education in New York

I'm new to real estate and investing and am looking to get more education but I'm not sure which course to pursue.

I live in New York City and would like to either get my Home Inspection License ($2500) and actually work doing inspections or get my Title Closing Certificate and work as a Title Closing/Settlement Agent.

I can't decide which one to pursue and I'm not sure how easy it is to get work doing either. Can anyone advise? Ultimately, I would like some flexibility in my work schedule while also earning income and learning more toward RE investing in the future.

Thanks for your help!
