Separate assets
My husband is not interested in joining me in REI projects because he is absolutely interested in and devoted to his own career. But he supports me and had my back. I'm fine with that, I know I can partner with others!
Here is my question: he is my BFF and we have joint accounts for everything. It all goes into one pot. We both have full-time jobs but he makes significantly more. I would classify him as a high earner.
Before I buy my first property, how can I make sure my REI projects and my husband's assets are separated? In the case I am sued, how can I protect him from being named in anything or his earnings at risk?
