Paid Search vs Direct Mail for Wholesaling Leads
Hello, I have a question regarding my marketing budget. I am looking to find some deals and get my feet wet at the start of next year, but only starting out with 1-2 wholesale deals a month. I'm not as concerned with how much I will profit off these first couple of deals but rather looking to get some experience. I am looking to invest in direct mail or PPC marketing. Can anyone offer insight into the potential benefits/differences in these two strategies and how effective they are? If I did decide to invest in PPC (which I am vaguely familiar with because I used to sell it) am I able to outsource the campaign via a V.A.? I've read/listened to a lot of info on direct mail so anyone with experience generating leads with PPC for wholesaling would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

PPC (Google AdWords) will generate good results if you create a good set of keywords and ads that match the searches and speak to the motivated seller. (sell my house fast, buy my house as-is, cash for houses, etc.). This is something you need to do or hire a competent person who does it often. Doubtful that you'll find a VA that can do anything for you in AdWords.
Direct mail works but not to general owner occupants. You want to target groups more likely to have motivation, such as absentee owners, senior citizens, etc. It takes multiple touches over time to become most effective.
I like them both. In search people are finding us, in direct mail, we are seeking them (based upon very specific criteria).
If you can only focus on one at the onset, I'd start with AdWords.
