Newbie investor for CA - Considering Portand OR-Good idea?

Hello,

We are newbie investors living in CA. We travel(work-related) to Portland OR once every 2-3 months. Budget around 250K. Finding a good rental property in CA (near bay area) is almost nil now. So were considering Portland OR. Do you feel its a good idea to invest there.

We plan to have a property manager. Do you think its risky to invest out of state. Especially interested in hearing the cons

Thanks in advance

Mina

I second @Ryan Jackson. Newbie investor in SoCal, looking at Riverside County...
