Flip first or multi family buy/hold first

I'm a newbie here on BP and would love some advice.  I've decided my two strategies will be to primarily buy & hold multifamily 6-12 units along with sfh flips.  I feel as though I'm getting into analysis paralysis mode because I'm not sure which strategy to start with.  I don't have up front cash of my own to start and will be reviewing my available options.

After going through the Ultimate guide and reading posts, etc, I am eager to get started on my REI journey (the right way). Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
