New Investor from Dallas Area

I am a new investor from the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. I am new to the world of REI (outside of my own home purchase) and am interested in networking and learning as much as possible in the upcoming months (and for the rest of my career!). My background is in engineering so I really dig getting into the analytical side of things and working on completing projects. I am interested in single family home renovations and multifamily property investment for passive rental income.
