Can't find deals

I'm just starting out as a wholesaler from Connecticut. I haven't found my first deal and it feels nearly impossible to. I have a couple buyers on my buyers list but I'm not sure how serious they are and I don't want to actually find a deal and have no buyers. I also don't have mentor, so I'm pretty much starting by myself. Any advice or stories on how you got started?

@Charlie Jarmon welcome to BP!

This site has been very motivational to me and in my opinion the beauty of it is that you become open to so many different ways to make things happen with real estate. If wholesaling isn't working maybe take another route for your first deal. A great way to get to know the right people is by getting involved in real estate. Look to purchase a multi family or a single family in need of rehab for a flip, whatever works for you.

I certainly hope wholesaling works out for you but my advice is do not let it stop you from finding a way to make some money in real estate!
