Real Estate Investing Literature

I'm new to real estate investing and I'm really excited about the coming 12 months. So much so that I've probably read a dozen books in the last two weeks. What I've found is that they are rife with over-simplistic deals and they are frequently wrong on basic calculations.

Does anyone have a favorite book or article that details the beginnings of successful investors? Preferably one that can count!

Thanks!

Chris
