Getting Started

Hi everyone,

My name is Donn, I have been educating myself about real estate for the past months now and trying my best to get started and avoiding or minimizing mistakes. I live in New York, Bronx and the numbers here doesn't make sense. I am longing for a mentor that i could do deals with while educating myself as well. I am also considering doing other states if my area would not work out. any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!=)

Do you have meet ups here in NY? I have been looking for bp members meet ups here  but I did not find any. May be i just did not look correctly.😀

@Scott Trench  thanks for the link about finding mentors. I appreciate it. My plan is to buy and hold rental properties. Future plan is to get some commercial as well if everything goes well. Currently i am working full time as a psych nurse, i love the profession and taking care of sick(psychiatric) patient but i dont like getting hurt sometimes. Lol. I want to invest part time and may be full time if it goes well. If i grow further may be hospitals is one of the goals too.
