Insurance for LLC

Hi All,

My partner and I have created a construction LLC that has general liability insurance. We subcontract all our work out on our residential and commercial jobs. We have also created an investment LLC that will primarily buy residential property to fix/flip and unload. The investment LLC will hire our construction llc to perform the rehab.

My question is do I need to get GL insurance for my investment LLC as well? I know I need insurance (builders or some form) for the actual property during the rehab, but do I also need GL insurance in general for my investment LLC?

My insurance agent says I need it, just wanted to get a take from you all on here.

Thanks in advance!

Suhail
