Best background experience for flipping?
Hey guys, I'm a young mama of three boys and have been a stay-at-home mom for the last six years. I have a some college experience in interior design, and also have my certificate in Building Construction & Carpentry.
I LOVE homes; they are a huge passion of mine. I'm ready to get back out into the field, but I am trying to figure out what a good starting would be for that. Since I have a background in construction, I have considered continuing down that path and becoming a contractor or builder. I have also been told that becoming a real estate agent is a good idea if you want to flip, since I am new to the state/area and do not know the market here, and doing so could help me get a good feel for the market and property values here.
I've considered each of those things as a potential starting point, but I’m not really sure what's going to bring the most value to my flipping venture. What knowledge/experience with the housing industry has helped you out the most?
