How do I find a mentor

Hello out there. My name in Ron, Vasquez. I am starting out on my real estate journey. I’ve read books, gone to seminars, and will be attending a workshop in a couple of weeks where I already know that they will charge me an arm and a leg for their mentoring program that I can’t afford. But I signed up for the workshop because I know that any information will be beneficial to me right now. I’m looking for advice on where and how to find some groups to join where I can meet people in real estate. I’ve tried meetups.com but haven’t had much luck. I’m also not sure how to approach someone about helping me get started. I feel like I will be considered future competition.

I’m sure many people have felt this way. Any advice?

@Ron Vasquez

Paying a fortune for a seminar, is one of the worst mistakes you can make! That money is better invested in real property. Paying a property manager to help you get started or finding an investor friendly agent, is a much better route to go.
