Starting as a real estate investor in the Cleveland area

Hi all,

I want to begin investing in real estate. I live in Cleveland and would like to focus on the city and surrounding suburbs to begin real estate investing.

I've never done anything like this before and am a little bit worried about starting out.

It would be a big help for me if anyone could share advice on a) starting out in real estate investment and b) where and how to invest in the Cleveland area.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for all the help from everyone.

To answer several questions...I'm in the Tremont neighborhood but not necessarily restricting myself to investing in that area.

Like most investors, I want something that has little risk and could see major value increase either from a growing area around the property or from work I put in.

I hope that helps...any further advice would be great.
