There is a monthly BP meetup in Giathersburg that @Justin B. (http://www.biggerpockets.com/users/ReBeginner) put together.  I went last month and really enjoyed it.  This is a discussion based group

There is also a REIA in Silver Spring I find pretty informative. REIMW.com is the website. This is more of a presentation based group, and the presentations can be hit or miss. There was one a couple months ago on wholesaling that Magnolia Properties did which I found particularly good.
